What is your best advice for high school students looking to attend college?: Never let schooling interfere with your education. You’re going to college to go to school, which is very important, but also for so much more. Don’t let school stop you from the education of life. Say yes to things, try something new, and be bad at it. Make friends, fall in love, and get your heart broken. Laugh loudly and often. Try again, fail again, and fail better. There is nothing that blooms in nature year-round, so don’t expect yourself to do so either. And if you’re scared of doing something, do it scared.

Do you have a particular favorite UO "fun fact"?: On Halloweekend there is a pumpkin drop from the top of the Lillis Business Complex, which is a super fun campus tradition. UO is also the zebrafish capital of the world, and they outnumber here students around 5:1.

What's your favorite place to hang out on the UO campus or in Eugene, and why? : Autzen Stadium is obviously a big one. The Willamette River is perfect for warm days, and so are the turf fields next to the Student Recreation Center, which is also one of my favorite places on campus. As far as Eugene, I recommend restaurants like Hey Neighbor, McMenamins, Bill and Tim’s, Dos Hermanos, Brail’s, and Izumi.

Do you have any special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies? : I am the most decorated intramural athlete in the history of the University of Oregon and am a champion in soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, and cornhole. I love everything about sports (big fantasy and betting guy) and spent the summer of 2022 running the Instagram account for the European Olympic Committee at the European Youth Olympics in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. I am also an Eagle Scout and a tattoo lover, and am currently working on getting more!

If you didn't work in admissions what would you be doing instead?: I’d like to be a sports broadcaster/analyst, or maybe a coach or a scout. I would have to put my years of fantasy sports to practical use somehow, right?
