Veteran Services at the UO

The University of Oregon welcomes students who have served our country as members of the armed forces. Veteran students would go through the normal application process as either a first-year student or transfer applicant. The Office of 看片狂人, partnering with colleagues in the UO and the State of Oregon's , assists veterans in making a seamless transition from military service to the campus community. Significant resources are in place to aid in that transition.

Resources for Student Veterans

The Student Veterans Center serves as a resource and touchpoint for student veterans. , at the center you will find fellow service members, study and meeting space, computer and printing stations, staff to assist you with personal and academic needs, as well as community veteran service providers. The was founded by UO student veterans to provide fellowship, support, peer tutoring, counseling and other services to student veterans. Contact the VFSA at 541-346-4305 or via email. The association's office is located within the Student Veterans Center.

The is available 24 hours per day at 888-457-4838, providing confidential crisis counseling and service referrals.

The University of Oregon follows Oregon Administrative Rules (OARS) in determining the residency status of student veterans.

The UO within the helps eligible student veterans, reservists, and dependents obtain educational benefits in compliance with the procedures and regulations of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. If you have questions about using your VA education benefits, please contact the Veterans Education Benefit team at veterans@uoregon.edu. They are in the Office of the Registrar on the second floor of Oregon Hall.

The evaluates transcripts for transfer credit. The UO generally grants credit for military educational experiences as recommended by the American Council on Education鈥檚 Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services, and in accordance with university and Oregon State University System policies regarding transfer credits. Students may wish to review for military credit evaluation online. Additional questions may be addressed to the UO transfer articulation specialist, who can be reached via email.
