Tips for college success: Explore, explore, explore! College is a great time to venture outside your comfort zone, even if it’s just a small step into something new. Trying new things, especially solo, can be daunting, but it is a great way to find a new community, skill, or passion that could set your college experience on a great path.

My favorite UO fun fact: I learned on my campus tour that three seeds were sent into orbit on the Apollo 14 mission, and one of those seeds was planted on campus and named the Moon Tree! It is located near Carson Hall, and there are a few others located across the state of Oregon.

Special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: I’m a massive sports fan! Mostly at the collegiate level, but I will watch or try to attend just about any sporting event going on when I am home or traveling. Recent team obsession? Panther City Professional Lacrosse Club!

If you didn't work in UO ¿´Æ¬¿ñÈË: I would be doing floral arranging! My first internship was at a floral shop, and years later I still enjoy creating florals for my own home and for professional events.

Tips for student from your region: Take a visit to Oregon! The Texas and Southern heat is no joke, and you will be stunned by the beauty of the campus and the climate. Going out of state for college is a great way to make friends from all over, expose yourself to new ideas, and join a flock of Ducks that spreads across the country.
